How To Create A Nested Accordion In WordPress

Accordions are very much similar to those teeny tiny magic boxes that neatly hide and show stuff with a single click, especially when you are adding FAQs to your website. But what if I told you there’s more to it? Yes, we’re talking about creating nested accordions, which will make your website look even more nice and tidy.

Nested accordions are basically one accordion inside another. They let you add many layers of collapsible sections, providing your users with a unified and well-organized browsing experience. If you have never created and added one to your website and are trying to figure out the full process, you have come to the right place.

It’s super simple. In today’s step-by-step guide, I will be showing you how to create a nested accordion in WordPress, very easily. Let’s jump right into it.

How to Create A Nested Accordion In WordPress

Today I will be using Ultimate Blocks to create a nested accordion. First of all, we need to install and activate the plugin. So we will start by going to the WordPress Dashboard. Then go to Plugins and then Add New. Now search for Ultimate Blocks, click on install now, and then activate it.

Then go to the post or page where you want to add the nested accordion. Type in /content toggle or click on the (+) sign and then search for the Content Toggle block, add that when found.

Now give your accordion a title.

Add the Content Toggle block once more by clicking the (+) sign inside the block. Well, you have now created a nested accordion. Finish it off by giving it a title.

Repeat the process to create more nested accordions. Give them titles as well.

You can easily adjust everything about the accordion from the right-hand side panel where you will find the block settings.

Go to the styles tab and further customize the accordion as per your taste.

That’s it; you’re done. You can now fill the nested accordion with your content.

And one last tip, please don’t forget to double-check the preview after creating a nested accordion.

This was all about how to create a nested accordion in WordPress. If you’ve made it this far in this how-to post, I don’t think you’ll have any trouble creating a nested accordion on your own.
